This would really surprise me, given our FO’s preferences. That said, “per a Steelers beat reporter” could mean damn near anything.
OH, and I was a huge fan of his pre-draft. One of my crushes, so I’d love the move. Just don’t expect him to be the FO’s cup of tea.
My Pittsburgh beat reporter source says no inquiry was made.
I’m more skeptical Brad would part with his draft choices.
He’ll only do that with difference makers like Isaac TeSlaa.
Thread begins with “Rumor” soooo …
What are the details around Porter?
does he need a new contract and what’s he expecting?
How much draft capital would it take? I’d trade 2nd rders for the next 5 years ![]()
Do it for two reasons: add a starter and increase competition behind the starters.
Obviously this is a trade that makes sense for both teams. Lions need a CB1, Steelers aren’t paying/extending him. A match for both teams. With this being so darn obvious, we can expect MANY rumors of this match.
Question, if the Steelers are holding out for 2 number 1’s and a 3rd, would you pull the trigger?

And, I’m betting trading him to an NFC team would be preferable to an AFC rival.
I doubt holmes makes a smart move and upgrade cb
Careful…dont wanna stir up the Brad-bots
Overreaction Monday at its best after beating the putative NFC South champion.
@Nate, not to put you on the spot, this is a question for the entire board.
What are you willing to part with to #1, make the trade and #2, who are you willing to sacrifice on a extension to sign him long term.
I’d give up next years #1 and a 3rd the following year. I’d also throw in Meeks if I had to.
