Stafford to the Jets makes way more sense and it takes him out of the NFC. Package Stafford and Kupp for pick 41 and Davante Adams? To me that seems reasonable as long as they can make the financials work.
I am sure Glenn has learned plenty about Stafford while he was here from all the people who were apart of this organization while Stafford was here. They have a roster that could be a playoff team with a QB like Stafford, especially if they fix that OLine.
I think that Rodgers contract is going to make the money very difficult to make work though.
I wonder if AG and Darren Mougey plan to bite the bullet and get their salary cap right in 2025 like Brad and Dan did in 2021. Rip the bandaid off and somehow establish the culture and vision while enduring lots of losing!! That was some heavy lifting by Danimal in 2021. Can AG do something remotely similar?

Man, was it ever. But he did it. Wish AG the best and hope his new GM is on the same page.
Their roster is in much better shape than what we had when Brad and Dan got here. He has some elite young players to build around in Williams, Sauce, McDonald, Wilson, and Hall. Ragnow was the only elite player after we traded Stafford.

Truly incredible work was done here in 2021-23. But I can already see the lustre fading with some after two disappointments. I am praying the message is not lost. Some of the better players may see what some consider penny pinching by the FO and the whole thing could turn to shit. It does happen. Can’t see it here for a bit yet. But…This is a very important season for this regime.

What does one give up for a 37 year old who’s mulling retiring and has had the shit kicked out of him for 16 years?
Rodgers was traded for two 2nd rounders (one conditional that didn’t happen)… I’d expect the same for Stafford

That is an insane move for a team like the giants to make. That’s a move I could see the browns doing. They have a good roster outside of QB.
I think it’s a completely reasonable trade if that’s the compensation… Daboll needs to show improvement and there’s no QB out there that’s available that can do that to the level of a Matthew Stafford. Two 2nds, one conditional, is a reasonable price to pay for a borderline HOF QB who can still play at a high level… IMO of course. Stafford would be a perfect QB for Nabers too… They’d need to bolster the OL to maximize Stafford, but they need to do that no matter who is playing QB.
