That’s completely unfair. Collins would place himself in the vicinity of the ball carrier, and then wait for someone else to get there and make the tackle. He’s the mall cop of linebackers.

They’re bad for different reasons IMO. Collins lacked any and all effort. Jaylon Smith over-pursues and has trouble shedding blocks. The effort is definitely there though. That’s why he reminds me of Davis.

Jaylon has lost a lot of speed.

He is used to running that play down before the RB can even turn around and make a move.
Much easier to tackle when the RB is just catching the ball and not turned upfield yet.
