At first, Jones said he was going all in. Then when they didn’t sign any free agents, he said that he meant he was going all in on signing his own free agents.
Yet there sits Dak and Parsons without a new contract, after waiting till the last minute to sign Lamb (and costing himself a couple million because of it).
It seems like he doesn’t know what he’s doing.

Yeah it was a bad trade proposal/rumor lol. Especially after Parsons said “ain’t nobody wants to goto Detroit”…
I think that statement might preclude him from ever being a Detroit lion. I understand Dan and Brad to be guys who wouldn’t think highly of a player disparaging any NFL city, let alone Detroit. That is not the mindset Dan and Brad are looking for. He’s a very good player, but I think he’s a little bit like Dominique Wilkins. Puts up some stats, but they’re kind of meaningless.
Interesting, I looked up Parsons stats for last year. I was a little shocked to see he ranked 161st in the league with only 68 tackles. He did have 14 sacks, but only 1 FF and 0 INTs. I have to say I watched some of his highlight reel and many of his sacks were due to coverage. I’m thinking he gets extra hype for wearing that star on his helmet. Not saying he’s a bad player, but I’m a little underwhelmed, especially when I think of the price tag.
Makes me wonder if the Boys Brass is resigned to the fact that they don’t want to pay Dak $60+ million AAV.
I am really thinking they are preparing to lose Dak in free agency next year…. though it seems like they might want to lock Micah up before that happens.
On the flip side….
I am fully aware that Dallas offers players ridiculous endorsement income opportunities…. and I think Jerruh has started to bank on that a bit.
Then again…. signing Lamb 7 months ago may have saved them a few million dollars.
