Izzo has led the Spartans to eight Final Fours in the NCAA Tournament, which include the NCAA National Championship in 2000 and a Runner-Up finish in 2009. His teams have won 11 Big Ten regular season titles and six Big Ten tournament titles in his 30 years at Michigan State. Izzo has the most wins in school history and has appeared in 27 consecutive NCAA tournaments, the longest streak of tournament appearances ever in men’s college basketball. He has never had a losing season as a head coach.[4] In addition, MSU set the Big Ten record for the longest home court winning streak between 1998 and 2002. Several of these accomplishments led former ESPN analyst Andy Katz to deem Michigan State the top college basketball program for the decade of 1998 to 2007.[5]

No, no he doesn’t. He “lives” off the 2000 title and a series of final four runs. He’s been in the final four literally as many times as Michigan basketball program. There’s a reason Michigan hangs NIT banners and Michigan State doesn’t.
There’s a lot of negative shit people say about a lot of coaches, and I get it. Whether it be Knight, Pitino, Calipari, etc. They deserve their criticisms. But Tom Izzo is an icon of college basketball.

I like Houston a lot.
Usually a super talented 8 or 9 seed upsets a 1 seed who’s kind of overrated…except for last year.
But I’ve picked that team like four of the last six years and been right.
This year’s usual suspect is UCONN, but I think Florida is just that good.
That means…Gonzaga is beating Houston.
