Severe Emergency In Aplena

Was out walking earlier… Slippery as ■■■■. All this freezing rain I could almost put my skates on and just skate down the roads.

Well, just so we know, it takes about 4,000 newtons of force to break a typical human femur… Issac says so! :star_struck:

I have really really hard bones and teeth, so that doesnt compute in my soft brain…

I imagine it’s the aged moatly, but still.

I have a nice crossover ankle breaker, or used to. Didnt know Mother Mature was the Ultimate Iverson.

Just got power back, after 3 days.
Let’s just say the governor didn’t declare a State of Emergency for nothin!
Absolute carnage to the trees every I’ve looked. 10 trees down on every block, minimum and limbs off of nearly every tree.
I’m kind of a prepper. We were caught off guard because we didn’t know it was coming, until the day it started, but, we were prepared.
We lost a few trees, and have some minor damage to the side of the house, but, we’re fine, the animals are fine, and only have cosmetic damage to the house. We didn’t even lose any food. Never opened the freezer or fridge until the power came back.
Driving around today out of shear boredom (no electricity, tv, internet, cell service), makes me feel like a very lucky man.

Same storms. Been withot power since Saturday. Its an absolute disaster out there. I think we are supposed to get hit by more freezing rain Wednesday morning.

Some trees bend from the weight of the ice, some break every time i go out they the workers have cleared some trees and lines, but there are new ones taking their place. Hard to say when we get power, hopefully in a couple days.

My house temp is currently 2 degrees colder than my refridgerator.

Thanks, bro! And, yeah. It’s a 10 county swath of destruction, many are not “out of the woods”, yet. We’re in the first wave. Probably because we’re on the same grid as LaFarge, and they have a bunch of those massive mining trucks, up to the top of their 10 foot tires in water in the pit.
Whatever, I’m a very happy guy, this morning.
Yes, please, keep our neighbors in your prayers and thoughts.

I haven’t heard, but, Lewiston was definitely in the path.
Drove down 23 just to get out, yesterday.
There’s a line about halfway between Harrisville and Ossineke that is unmistakable.
