Just a shout… no reason except that he’s been on my mind.
What a legend. 1 of kind individual.
Analytical. Intelligent. No nonsense. Could always back it up.
A true scholar and gent that could walk the walk.
Lord have Mercy.
I am grateful for @The_Kid , next man up replacing his grandpa and we hardly miss a beat. That’s not to take anything away from @Bols trust me he wouldn’t have it any other way
Unfortunately , this is not the case for @DeadStroke
We are left with a void. Missing his presence today
As a longtime and loyal DEN member I to miss @DeadStroke , he was a very wise man when it came to money and cap figures. and many other things to boot, it just sucks to lose good people.
Deadstroke went where no Denster had gone before, into the netherworld of capology, and opened up a whole new avenue of argument and justification for us quibblng Lions fan. And make no mistake, Deadstroke was the king in that arena. Right is right and wrong is wrong, and when my misconstrued salary cap blather didn’t pass muster with him, he spoke and the limits of my “knowledge” were exposed.
Of course, I’m used to running my mouth right to the edge of what I know and maybe a little further, so it was always just another day on the planet. I hope you’re reading this in football heaven, @DeadStroke You are missed.
Deadstroke and Sandman both brought very unique perspectives and insights to this community. I really can’t think of anyone else that brought something to this place that stood on it’s own like those 2 did.
Everyone else is just different versions of each other that differ only by personality and approach.
I can assure you they are vastly improved from the height of their, um, notoriety, but are unfortunately still not ready for the cover of Foot Fetish Today.
It never occurred to me to monetize my gift until @BitterSyd inadvertently alerted me to the niche audience who hungered for them. Who knew that Geek Toe Porn could be so lucrative?
My last interaction with him was deleted by admins, lol. My ribbing evidently wasn’t appreciated for the humor behind it. George was one of one, his knowledge unsurpassed. He was also a fan, susceptible to bad takes and locking horns with other posters. Doesn’t change who he is or how much you appreciated his contributions.
