I know, the size is an issue, he comes in like a missile and just can’t finish… I hope it’s a problem Dan Campbell can “tackle”
I’d love him with the 3rd rounder
though I admit I didn’t know you were still on Kuithe
Might be my last chance to support a draftee born in the 90s.
I have no idea what he even looks like still. He came back fairly strong from the most recent knee injury.
Used to love the player though. Loyal to a fault I guess.
That also incudes Walley, Gray, Que Robinson, Woodard, Arian Smith, Vann, Rucker, from that list, and probably a few I’ve forgotten about too.
Are Que and Walley really sleepers. Not even sure Smith and The Butcher qualify as sleepers for me.
He’s a Katy, TX kid, I’ve always had an affinity for Katy, TX kids too. The Red Rocket and Danielle Hunter are the best, but man there were high hopes for Kuithe.
To me if they’re day 3, they qualify as sleepers. And I’d expect all of those to go day 3. And if they rise into day 2, then they STILL qualify as draft sleepers. Win-win really.
I’m going to say Willie Lampkin
In an interview they asked Saivion Jones who was the best player he faced at the Senior Bowl. He said I don’t even know his name but it was that shorter guy from UNC. Savion beat Zabel a couple times and anyone else that was in front of him. He said Lampkin was a whole new story when it came to leverage and he gets after ya.

There are other guys I prefer, but the appeal is easy to see. And yet for having so few negatives overall on his report (from me), it’s about how much weight you give to each one, and I weigh the tackling really heavily. I can’t suffer through another Ernie Sims situation. Conversely, that’s one of the main reasons I’m so high on Kevin Winston. He’s a tackling savant. Not a single missed tackle in 2023 (which is the last season he played).
Lampkin’s an easy guy to love, but man… 270 pounds. And for all that he dominated the one-on-ones (and he had a rep against TJ Sanders that’s an all-timer), he DID have some issues in the full team work and the game.

Edit: Oh, I just saw where Gerald McCoy responded to it. Maybe it wasn’t such a great win lol
I guess there are sleepers at every position and the edge or DE have been talked a lot about in here. Two that I think deserve more attention are David Walker from Central Arkansas and Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins from Georgia. I think the mass media may be overlooking these guys but I don’t think the NFL will.
We met with Walker too which has gone underreported. Very much a Brandon Graham type, and Mike Renner has him in his top 40, so not everyone’s overlooking him. My biggest issue with him is he’s turning 25 in June, and for what he’ll cost (I’m guessing 102 at the latest), I’d like more long-term value. I don’t mind guys that old once we get into the 5/6/7th, but before that I factor it into their grade.
I agree that Ingram-Dawkins has been largely overlooked, just a byproduct of being a dirty work guy on that line. I actually like his tape better than Sai’Vion’s, at least when they’re both lined up inside. Gotta keep his pads low but that’s true of a ton of guys coming out of college, and has some injury history that will have to be vetted, but I think he’s a pretty good fit for what we want.
My main concern with him - and the reason I often don’t bring him up - is I don’t know how we’ll weigh his run-ins with the law. The excessive speeding citation I don’t really care about, though it shows pretty poor judgment given where he is and what had just happened there when he did it. Parking in a handicapped zone isn’t a great look but not a huge deal either overall, but the failure to appear in court? Again, shows pretty poor judgment. So is it a pattern of behavior? Because unlike a lot of other guys, this isn’t just whispers, it’s verifiable.
but man there were high hopes for Kuithe.
2022 Kuithe was the truth. But that’s like 3 or 4 serious injuries ago I think. Kind of lost track.
But I presume that we’re talking about a UDFA with both him and Lampkin so what the hell. Give it a whirl.
Car’lin Vigers. The middle of the name hyphen strongly correlates to pro success.
I wouldn’t be surprised if someone used a 7th rounder on Lampkin. He’s gonna be popular once the cost goes down, especially with creative teams who might use him as a FB/TE

Missed opportunity. Had he pulled a Larry David and faked a disability to get out of it I would have bumped him up a round.

Oh, the obstacles to success are growing, it’s middle of the name now. How middle are we talking? Does Ja’Marr count?

Can you imagine how embarrassing that must have been for him at the UGA traffic school? I presume that the football program has their own traffic school at this point. @frm710 would know.
But all the other guys telling war stories about going 167 in a school zone after taking GHB enemas and poor ole Ingram-Dawkins has to admit being in there for taking Gertrude’s spot at the Publix.
I don’t know. I had a mid name hyphen draft study funded and then DOGE came around.
That explains the excessive speeding citation right after! He showed up and was like, check it out fellas. And they were all like, we don’t know how to tell you this TID, but…
More than likely, damn embarrassing is what it is…
