Not even close. But can’t really blame them because we have plenty of winters without much snow at all. This one will shut the state down most likely.

Growing up near Flint, I remember storms in the 1970s with 3 feet of snow. There was one where a snow drift reached the roof of the house.
I also remember driving from Cincinnati to Michigan on I-75 during a snowmageddon event in a 1970 Pontiac Lemans with rear wheel drive. Portions of I-75 were supposed to be closed, but I went anyway because there really wasn’t anyone to stop drivers. There were a few hearty souls who felt the same way. After making that long treacherous drive safely, nothing scares me about driving in OH or SE Michigan.

Was -23 on my way to the wrestling tournament today. Probably lower with wind
