Ezekiel Elliott certainly has fallen off a cliff. He had 14 runs of over 20 yards as a rookie and this year he had 3. Sure the Boys o-line isn’t what it was, but still. He’s JAG at this point.

The play itself actually worked. They got the ball closer. Would have made for an easy throw to the end zone in the next play or opened up more options on the play call. Throw short and lateral maybe. Just options.

It was the execution on the play that sucked. Dak didn’t go down early enough. Didn’t give the ball to a ref, instead gave to his center. The team didn’t get the bleep out of the way for the ref to spot the ball.

Now is that how they practice it every week, as they say they do? If so, then that’s on the staff. If they actually practice it correctly, giving the ball to the ref and such, then it’s on the players for folding under the pressure.

Yes. And Dak has to get down sooner. The last 4-5 yards were meaningless

I don’t like the call all that much there but it would have given them 1 good shot to win instead of a Hail Mary had Dak got down sooner and tossed the ball to the ref.

It’s no different than if they had thrown a pass over the middle. The 49ers were all over the sidelines so hitting a pass then OB wasn’t gonna happen.

I think with 14 seconds you get 3 shots. One closer in and then two to the end zone. Be tight though.
