SOFT Ohio lawmaker proposes law that would make it a FELONY to plant a flag in Ohio Stadium

Bunch of dudes on here playing like Ohio State is a bunch of uncivilized brutes. Its more like just because Michigan man doesn’t react when his wife’s ass is grabbed by another man, doesn’t mean an Ohio State man won’t.

Also it wasn’t the flag planting that caused the fault, it was dude running into osu players. Both teams always play the victim cards.

Both schools play the victim cards. It wasn’t the flag planting that got the brawl going.

The Michigan coach talking trash to the OSU fans in the stands.

Planting a flag causing an all out brawl after the game.

Ohio State fans spitting on Michigan’s players.

It’s very disappointing to see the turn this rivalry has taken. It’s always been a hate/hate relationship, but never was there this level of disrespect.

Bo is rolling over in his grave.

I agree 100%. Its sad.

LOL, no, just the 2024 OSU team.
The analogies are great.

Remember when Japan wrote a law prohibiting us from planting our flag? Yeah, me neither

I’ve got to tell you - after going back and rewatching the entire thing I see your point far more clearly.

Prior to today, I missed the entire 1st part of this where UM actually planted the flag.

All I had seen prior to today was the 2nd part of the skirmish, which occurred AFTER the flag planting where the UM player started parading through the OSU players like a jackass.

I see far more clearly now where you and others are coming from.

Few reasons why jimbo and day running his mouth. Two social media. Tons hate not just from those two schools but every rival game out there. Also i think @Bols blocked me…lol.

And Florida St. And North Carolina. And the scuffle at Arizona.

Right thats what started the fight , not so much planting the flag

Yep, I see it now.

Thats why people are confused. No matter who it was bouncing into dudes is probably going to start the pushing and punching.

No one is calling Ohio State brutes. They are anything but on the field.

Yeah, you’re taking what I said and then extrapolating way too far.

Flag-planting is currently “a thing”. It’s not against the rules, even if I don’t particularly like it. Ohio State players having a violent reaction is where the line was crossed in this particular incident. Period, end of story.

That reaction has nothing to do with being “soft”, it was a total lack of self-control of the players and lack of discipline from their leadership. Everything from the Ohio State side (at least those who participated in the brawl) was as bad as what Michigan did, and worse.

The fact that I want my team to be at the very top-tier of sportsmanship and integrity and they fell short in this particular instance doesn’t mean that it’s their fault that their opponent behaved far worse.

Notice, as Eisen points out, the proposed legislation only makes it a felony to plant a flag in the horseshoe. It is not against the law to do so on Toledo’s field, or Cinci Bearcats, or the zips or the bobcats field. Just in Columbus, so, may have to rethink this, perhaps OSU really is that soft.

Soft in college but they seem to be less soft in the pros. Maybe is captain Ryan Day, dude looks like he owns a pirate ship.

I love watching college football, but Eisen is right. The reaction of the Ohio fanbase is the most amusing part of victory. It is always so over the top hair on fire

I understand now with more clarity.

My confusion stemmed from only seeing the 2nd half of the ordeal which occurred AFTER the initial flag planting and OSU response.

Now that I’ve seen the entire video, I see with much more clarity what you guys are saying.

My bad - I simply missed the 1st half of the entire thing and was unaware of it.

New info springs new opinions for me on this.

I stand behind my previous statements for other, different scenarios…but knowing what I do now changes how it applies to this one for me.
