Someone convince me on Kelee Ringo

In the scenario where the Rams don’t give us a top 3 pick, I’m starting to think that Ringo is the guy we might have to take purely because there isn’t anyone else. He at least checks out physically. He’s an outstanding athlete and has great size for the position. He’s also really fast for that size.

But, he’s not great at making plays when the receiver makes a cut or just good at route running. I personally think MHJ is going to eat him alive in the Peach Bowl. I’m also not a huge fan of taking a corner that high that has questions like Ringo does. Sauce Gardner wasn’t even the first corner taken in this past draft, which some people don’t mention all the time.

I feel like Okudah was a far superior prospect and I didn’t even really want him back then. I think Cam Smith and Joey Porter both might be better in coverage.

Not to mention Ringo played with 5 1st round picks last year, Jalen Carter, and Nolan Smith through his time on that Georgia defense.

But then I see some people who firmly believe he’s a top 5 talent. If that describes you, what do you see in him that gives you such optimism?

Ringo is taller/bigger/faster than Okudah. I couldn’t stand the Okudah pick when it happened as he was too slow to be even considered a top CB prospect IMO.

Gardner last year was my favorite CB. If Hutch had gone #1 I would have have been fine taking Gardner at #2. Although he didn’t run in the 4.3’s like I’d want in a top CB, he made up for it with height & cover ability. He played like a 5’10" CB but at 6’3".

I’m intrigued by Gonzalez this year. He doesn’t seem to get much love in mock drafts yet but every time I watch him he seems to be getting the job done. He’s also tall and fast. I’m looking forward to seeing his combine numbers.

The way I hear it, Ringo’s no daisy at all.

Peronally I like Gonzalez more then I like Ringo. I think he’s more refined technically, but that’s just me.

He’s just too high strung

I can’t convince you….

What I can tell you is that just like previous years, there will be 5 plus guys going way to early, and 5 going way to late.

J Carter

Bijan Robinson
Trenton Simpson
Ringo
Joey Porter Jr
Brian Branch
Emmanuel Forbes
Calijah Kancey
John Michael Schmitz
Cooper Beebe
Felix Anudike- Uzomah
Xavier Hutchinson
Rashee Rice
Chase Brown
Andrew Voorhees
J Campbell
Zay Flowers
AT Perry
Bo Nix

I’d be all in to trade down….

Carter
Anderson
Young
Stroud
OT
Johnston

  • right now I see that as the top 5-6 depending on how Stroud grades and Johnston works out…. I would take a mere 2nd to drop to say #10-12…. Hopefully a 3rd next year too…

We should take Kelee Ringo because his mom is hot. We have a pretty good track record with hot moms.

Shit just saw that. I bet he is a top 15 pick next year.

I don’t know. He looks like someone just walked over his grave…

his descision actually is interesting though

cause a 5 Star QB recruit commited UCLA over Oregon because of it

He is simply too high strung.

I believe the strain of covering nfl receivers might be more than he could bear.

Nice save!

I am lost, why would his decision to enter the draft affect a UCLA-Oregon QB to change a commitment? They wouldn’t play together, or against each other?

Look, darling, it’s Ringo. The deadliest cornerback since Okudah, they say. What do you think, darling? Should I hate him?
