I think so… Cards, Hawks, and 49ers fans are celebrating. The Rams just got rid of 3 of their best players and don’t have a 1st round pick.

I really think if the draft was today, we would pass on Carter. Still a lot of time left but without the right kind of resolution not sure he’ll be on our board.

A: Another team has taken him
B: Another team traded up with us for a QB on an offer too good to refuse.

Couldn’t agree more. All the discussion regarding the waste of resources by doing so make me chuckle. Look at the history of our current leadership and it’s a definite possibility.

Skoronski very much feels like a “we have to put a tackle in the top ten” kinda guy. A lot of guys like him better for guard and expect him to be a mediocre tackle. Talent wise, you’re drafting more Jeff Backus than Penei Sewell, and then playing him at guard, thereby only getting second or third round value out of him. We need a guard; we should draft a guard, at the appropriate draft position. Imo.
