I thought he kind of got toasted in coverage on a completion early in the game. After watching the replay, I saw he may have bit on the play action a little too much, which caused him to not get into his drop quick enough to pick up the TE on a crosser.
It wasn’t terrible, but I do want to see a little more Devin White in some of those situations that they were blitzing LBs!

I couldn’t see any of the game but I had it on at work on my earbuds and Barnes was constantly being mentioned as playing well.

I have been saying since Barnes came to Detroit, he is best as a WILL or MIKE linebacker, SAM is out of position, the more he plays in the middle the more production he will have. This could have started in 2023, however he was placed at SAM out of position, and that has cost him two major surgeries and the loss of the confidence in himself, of the fans on this board and in general and most of all loss in financial opportunity, and yes this is @cap.

@Capisback - I am honestly so happy about Barnes’s success. He seems like a great dude, and has always been a hard worker. Major props to him for his grit and persistence over the years, and I hope he has a continued long and successful Lions career!

Glad to see you back, @Capisback . Densters play rough sometimes and can be hard on visionaries. You saw what Brad saw in 2021. It just took a while for Barnes to acclimate to the position in the pros and longer for most of us Lions fans to appreciate his progress. Like most humans, we get locked into views and positions.
