Sports Cards Thread

I’ve long been into cards. Actually owned a shop back in 07 that we shut down in 2010 when we were in a recession.

At this point, I still purchase a lot of bulk lots, and flip most of it. It has definitely helped me learn about a lot of baseball prospects.

I’ve seen a few people on here discussing cards. Thought it would be cool to have a place to show off some stuff you get, collect, or already have?

I thought of you guys when I got this card in a recent lot

Nice!

Bought about 20 1975 Topps Minis for my brother today as hebis building a set.

Have 60 cards at PSA and planning to jump my flipping side gig up from the $50-200 card raw range to $350-750 next year. Tired of 3 month turns and minimum lots at PSA, so go big or go home!

In right now, among all the Ohtani, Raleigh, Jah and Kurtz is this guy for the PC

Traded some cards today and picked up a 2024 leaf electrum box

2 of the cards

Caleb is a redemption. Looked up the redemption is a /15 auto. $200+ definitely trade material

The gronk is a 2/2

I asked grok about the gronk

Yeah that card is worth some money

Grok says raw with current value. $1800-$3000

The Grok needs work. Leaf over produces short numbered cards. It is a great rip. At a great price. The 1/1 from that set only goes for $82

130 point. Card ladder. Alt. PSA app.

That’s where you should get comps.

I subscribe to CL. I also get Terapeak through Ebay, though CL is still my favorite

Same… CL is where it’s at

A few nice Lions I have. Might end up selling the Gibbs at some point. RBs just don’t hold value

Haven’t received it yet, but just purchased maybe the coolest piece I’ll ever own

I never personally grade cards, as I think it’s too expensive, and I don’t know how to tell centering on some sets.

Well, I purchased a Flagg Rookie /12 for quite a bit. It was raw. The intention was to sell it. I didn’t want to sell it raw, as too much can happen. So I sent it off for my first ever PSA submission. Looked good to me, though I can’t tell the centering on this set. Anything 8 or up I would have been happy with

Oh daaaayuuummm. Noice.

/12 Gem is tough to comp.

That’s a long term hold for me boss.

I’ll probably list it at a crazy price and see if it ever moves.

If he has a really good career, it would be a crazy card years down the road.

Anyone know how much Billy ripken f face goes for? 8 years i got a box for 6 bucks and I got one

How about the infamous “it depends”? It can still fetch some money, but it depends on its condition. If you think it’s in great shape—sharp corners, nicely centered, it may be worth getting it graded. Not sure how much that costs though. I’d look it up on eBay and see how much people are selling it for.

Its in mint. Idk about the centering of it

Post a picture of it if you can. Can’t see surface issues, but could get an idea on centering and corners. As mentioned, really condition sensitive for price.

Raw, they can fetch about $30. A PSA 9 just went for $200
