They had Kerby Joseph on and he talks very highly of Brian Branch. Pretty good episode. Had me cracking up at the end quite a bit. And for you old ■■■■■ like me, I surmise that “OD” is the new term for something being dope? You’ll hear ARSB use it a few times.
I watched/listened to much of that yesterday. It’s fun. Kerby was a great guy to have on the show. The “what position is toughest/easiest to play” conversations made me laugh along with them.
They were showing him intercepting that ball against the Vikings and then celebrating during the return. Too funny.
I love the camaraderie you can feel with this entire team! Well done Brad/Dan!

Was thinking the same thing while I was watching that podcast. Very cool to see offensive and defensive players genuinely like each other. I don’t think there is a player or coach on that team who I wouldn’t mind having a beer with. You’re right, Outstanding job by our front office and coaching staff.
Was a great episode. I had to look up OD a few weeks ago. Amon Ra kept saying it and I was clueless.
I do find it interesting that Amon asks him what the defensive plan was.
It always kind of blows my mind that the 2 sides of the ball operate so independently.
I mean I get it. It makes sense and such. But it also just tells you how locked in these guys are on their part of the puzzle.
I cant listen to much of this podcast because Equanineous is just so bad. His questions are bad, his takes are bad, and he is so obviously jealous of how good his brother is. Its just hard to watch for me.
I don’t find them to be too obnoxious, but I understand where you’re coming from. He’s definitely not as polished and comfortable as ARSB. Kerby made this episode for me.
He is not as smooth for sure. But I do not think it is really born out of any negativity.
He is just a quieter personality. A much more well rounded human. ARST is football all the time all day every day.
I really think that is the main issue. ARST is a lunatic. I mean I love it and it really comes out when they are talking football.
I would be interesting if they had a non football person come on if E seemed so clunky.
Also I have found E to be solid when his guys are on. Your gotta remember that. He is a 3rd wheel when Lions are guests
During my dive into the Brian Branch YouTube rabbit hole I came upon this worrisome video. So 0.2 seconds equals about 3 yards over a 40 yard dash. Mathematically, we could’ve figured it out as well, but it’s kind of cool to see it with stacked videos. I say worrisome above, but Branches instincts are so good that it more than makes up for the somewhat average speed.
Dude
Go get me some in game next gen stats
The 40 at a combine means very little and if we are honest it does not correlate to on field production.
My point is that I do not think he has average speed. He had an average 40. But what is he doing in game? What is his change of direction like in game? Hip flex? Vertical?
Maybe in game is average but I am not sure I believe that
No need to get your blood pressure spiking. I think we all understand the 40 time is only one metric and that many guys play faster on the field. Branch has a chance to be a HOFer. But if he ran a 4.38 he might be the GOAT. Maybe he’ll be the GOAT at 4.58. Cool.
Again you are missing my point
Next gen stats may show he is a 4.38 guy
That is my point
That’s why I didn’t say looks faster, but plays faster. Yes, some players run faster on the field than on the track. I agree.
Fast 40 guys may also slow down when equipment is added as well.
Like Jamo. Slo-poke needs to get his shit together.
Great episode. The constant Jamo teasing has GOT to force him to do the pod.
You definitely see it at times. Last year I certainly noticed speed out of the slot causing him some issues at times. My friend that’s a Bama Die Hard said that was his one Achilles heal at the college level. Tennessee used Hyatt to take advantage of it IIRC.
But he’s absolutely fantastic. Should be a multiple time first team All Pro.
I agree. Quieter, older (as old as he’s ever been), has been shipped around a lot in the league. Just has his priorities in a different place. He’s still all ball, but he might be the more mature of the two.
Branch plenty fast after his second interception, running right through the center of the field.
