They are going for the all woulda coulda shoulda team
This was a great trade for the Cowboys. They needed a big X WR and he is a perfect fit for their culture. Now they need a bigger RB that can take some carries like Joe Mixon or Kareem Hunt and they will be all set.
Is Ray Rice too old to come out of retirement?
With this move I expect the Cowboys to make a serious run at 7 wins, miss the playoffs and Jerry shits his pants again.
All jokes aside pickens might actually blowup now that he has an actual qb throwing him the ball or he could just as easily run the wrong routes, short arm balls, give 50% effort and bitch out presscott every chance he gets. A lot of personalities for a first time head coach.
Jones has a habit of putting his coaches in these situations. I like Schottenheimer and think he could be a good coach. Iâm not sure the Cowboys is that spot, but you have to take whatâs before you I guess.
Just a reminder to people who think its worth the risk to take a turd in the draft or FA.
Jerrah back to the well for Roy Williams 2.0
I shamefully wanted to draft him or Alec Pierce round 2 that year
So glad we got Waymo instead
This post has not gotten the love it deserves.
Too many Chase Daniels posting on here.
I liked his tenacity and wasnât up on him enough to realize his fall wasnât soley his knee injuryâŚso i thought the steelers got a dawg.
The crazy thing is that Jerruh had a front row seat to see the problem with Pickens⌠and still decided to trade for him!

Except we got a 1st, 3rd, and 6th round pick for Williams.
Millen was a genius. Way better than Holmes.
I am not a fan of the Steelers GM and some of the stuff he has done. However, I can see what he did here. He had a chance to get a better version of Pickens (DK Metcalf), so he did it. Pickens then becomes redundant to what they are doing, and the team can flip him for draft compensation. To keep Pickens they were going to have to pay him. So instead of doing that, they are paying his replacement.
From a fans perspective, I think alot of people would try to figure out a way to have both of them on the field at the same time. I personally think that is not an optimal use of resources. They would be paying top dollar for one of them to constantly change his role. I see some teams paying 2 WRs big bucks, but they are complimentary players. In this case the 2 guys are just different versions of the same playerâŚwith DK being the better overall version.
Pickens in Dallas will be a circus.
Roman Wilson gonna be a niiiice fantasy sleeper.
Tomlin wont be coach there in 2027.
DK gonna throw a tantrum though if the qb isnât getting him the ball.
Ceptân it was Martin Mayhew who took Jerruh to the woodshed on the Williams trade, not Millen.
