While it’s impossible to ever feel sorry for the Patriots, the hope is that the NFL finally figured out what is a catch in the off-season. While it’s improved a bit since the Calvin Johnson TD against the Bears that wasn’t, there’s plenty of room for improvement.

They knew what they were doing. One thing to remember is that the Vikings have been on the right side of calls all year. There are a few teams that tend to get the calls every year, but then I pointed out that occasionally a team that is part of the “normal” group will suddenly get a string of calls over the course of a season. The Vikings are that team this year.
Here’s a taste of it. This guy is a homer and is whining like one…but I was thinking the same thing watching the game as a non-Saints fan. I’m always on alert for “the fix is in” when a team gets a controversial illegal contact or defensive holding call on a 3rd down incomplete pass (or sack).
