Iā€™ve heard Luke has had a good camp so far.

I wouldnā€™t be surprised if Altmyer ends up as the backup this year and a veteran is brought in only for the remainder of camp and maybe for a PS spot.

The (eventual) replacement for Goff is not on the roster, so that part is sorta moot right now.

There is also the possibility that he looked so bad the team told him they are going to sign someone else. And this is the respectful and graceful way of both handling it for someone who reportedly is a good dude.
