I feel like he is a little more Alvin Harper….
than clear cut #1 WR on any given team.
Tee Higgins is a much better WR than Alvin Harper was IMO.
I don’t think he’s a top tier 1 but he’s a really good player. He’s also a style of WR that I could see teams trying to develop young QBs really liking.

agreed… but that is the guy that just pops out to me when thinking of a UFA disaster….
and I do think Tee Higgins could be a huge disappointment if signed to a mega deal on the open market.
What contract? I’d be fine with paying him D. Smith money if I was a team trying to go for it on a rookie QB deal.
The true number 1 WR thing can get a little wonky. You have two Tee level WRs (though different stylistically) and you’re likely cooking with gas or on the way to get there at least.
So… Cammanders, Bears, Vkings…. maybe Pats?
Texans and Colts have rookie QB contracts….
but also high paid WRs already and don’t seem to be great fits.
It could be a team that doesn’t yet have their “QB of the future”.

but now a team is projecting a #2 WR that rides 2nd fiddle to Chase…
and hoping he is the guy to help bring along a never been proven QB.
Not my favorite way to build a roster.
I don’t view it through a #2 vs #1 lens. And if I had a I guess teams aren’t as preoccupied with that stuff as fans and media.
Okay just to give an example. Waddle and Tee are seen by most as tier 2 or 3 WRs depending on how hard of a grader one is.
I’d be perfectly happy having those two at just over 50m as the linchpin of my offense even though neither is at this point a top tier #1. Especially if I had a rookie QB.
Jags signing Tee Higgins and trade Gabe Davis makes most sense to me .
