Now that the season is over and we’re into FA/Draft mode, I thought I’d make one of the first player specific threads. I was going to wait a day after the game to post anything like this so everyone could have a day to grieve, but I’ve moved on and I’m ready to load up for our Super Bowl run next season.
It’s going to take a trade up to get him. How far? I have no idea. He’s all over the place right now but the idea is that he’s going to at least end up in the top 15. That makes him too expensive to move up for IMO. However, if he’s somehow sitting there for us, we could absolutely move for him.
We’ve discussed Terrion a good bit already in the 2024 draft thread (who haven’t we discussed in that thread at this point), and I think the general idea is that due to his ball skills and production, he’s a really good fit for our defense. We seem to prefer a Trevon Diggs type to a Patrick Surtain type, which is ironically how the play styles of Terrion and Kool-Aid are.
Kool-Aid is much better in single man coverage, but Terrion has significantly more playmaking ability.
Branch obviously played with both of those guys and he could probably give us a good read on them.
With Denzel Burke going back to college, the only corners I’ve really done “homework” on thus far are the Bama guys. I like both of them, but Terrion seems to be a better scheme fit. What do you guys think?
