I don’t think I’ve ever seen a team implode like that. The Packers were leading 16 to 6 with five minutes to go. Williams had thrown for about 120 yards and no TDs. GB had the Bears on a third and 20 and got called for a facemask on Williams…on a sack. They inexplicably let Chicago’s wide receivers get behind them on fourth and goal to tie the game. Then they muff the onside kick. Not to be outdone, Willis fumbles the snap on fourth and one in overtime…while in long FG range. I’m trying to think of a worse five minutes of football and I’m struggling. That was a brutal, brutal loss and I’m glad the Packers fans got to experience it. I can’t imagine fan reaction in GB. Merry Christmas bitches. Can anyone else remember a game like that?

LeFleur has to be on a hot seat. That was a brutal brutal loss when you had pretty much dominated the game for 55 minutes.
How sweet would it be if the Lions and Bears make the playoffs, while the Packers sit and look forward to the draft.
Colts and packers both miss out and have to wait till rd 2 to pick. Wow that would suck
So you mean Ben Johnson and the Bears win again ?
That’s the thing you got to play for 60 mins.
Here’s what’s wild, this can legit happen. The Packers are getting hurt to hell and back. Love could potentially miss their next game at home to Baltimore. Week 18 they are on the road at Minnesota who could be playing spoiler, but that one is more doubtful.
Lets say the Packers lose next week. If the Lions win out, and the Bears lose to the 49ers, the Lions win the division and the Bears get the Wildcard spot. The Packers would finish at 10-6-1, and with 3 teams making it from the NFC West, that knocks the Packers out of the playoffs.
Packers fans are devastated, a lot of the Packer fans in Grossi’s chat were saying this was a repeat of the 2014 NFC Championship Game. Love has to pass concussion protocol, Willis clearly hurt his shoulder but at least made a couple throws in OT, they lost their #3 TE, their defense has been torn to shreds… The Packers had holes but they put everything in the Micah Parsons basket. It was a well worth it gamble, but now with Parsons injury, it looks like that trade payment could be very steep indeed. The Packers are paper thin, and the Bears just threw a lot of water on that paper.
Being fair, right now this is all wishful thinking, since the Lions have to win 3 games in a row and we haven’t done that since September. Yesterday’s win for the Bears basically re-opened the chance for the division, but also significantly hurt the Lions chances of making the Wild Card. I think we are now at winning the division, or finish 8th and first team out.
This bears team sure does remind me a lot of the one I had been watching in Detroit over the last few seasons…
(The thing lions fans know to be true but it makes them too sick to say out loud)

Not last year. Last year we were +222. We were a wagon. The other years, sure. Bounces matter in football. They’ve been getting most of them seemingly.
No. I have never seen anything like it.
Hobbs muffing the onside kick was weird.
You always attack the ball. He let the ball
Play him.
forgetting about the wide receiver in the back of the end zone to tie the game was really crazy if not fishy..
I wonder what Calvin thought of that?
Does the game end that way with Love playing QB? I doubt it.
That’s why they play 60 minutes. Right?
Conditioning is so important, proper consistent stretching, diet. I’ve often said if I were a couch, I would preach starting fast, and trying to increase the intensity each quarter to compensate for mental and physical fatigue that the game naturally brings. As Jimmy Johnson always said, “If you’re sucking for wind during the game, you become a coward on the field. You lose your drive and willingness to compete.”
I don’t know what the Lions are doing?? Getting hurt, I know that.
Shitcago has had so much luck this season i.e. schedule, injuries, timing of fluke plays etc. I just don’t think they will take full advantage and go to the SuperBowl
I don’t know. Willis moved the ball pretty well and love wasn’t getting in the end zone either. It’s a good question.
They are winning a lot of fluky games though. They could easily be a six or seven win team right now. Can they be this lucky again next year?
It’s not a fluke when you’re talking 10 plus wins, winning is hard
It can be both be true that winning is hard and winning can be flukey. Those aren’t mutually exclusive. They have had an inordinate amount of insane wins. And then the turnover margin. Those are not sticky. But maybe Caleb takes a year 3 jump. Hope not.
Not sure how many of their games you’ve seen, but they’ve had some very unlikely wins.
With about five minutes left in the Bears-Packers game the Bears’ odds of winning were extremely low, with the Packers having a 99.5% win probability, as Chicago trailed 16-9 and had to execute a massive comeback, making it one of the most improbable wins in recent NFL history.
That’s about as fluky as it gets. That’s why I think they are closer to a 6 or 7 win team than an 11 win team. Caleb is just not very good.
Let’s go Lamar!
