I think that part at least will be covered by more Burden/Loveland. But yes, it’s something that will need replacing.

Yes. We really didn’t adapt much to a new set of circumstances in 2025.
Back in 23/24, when we often went for it on 4th down, it was warranted because of our dominance up front.
In 25, I didn’t look it up, but i don’t think our strategy on 4th down changed much…Our frequency of going for it on 4th was about equal - but our success rate, with a much weaker OL, was lower. I think that had alot to do with losing at least a couple of games. We didn’t adapt.
I love going for it on 4th, and Dan changed the league on that issue. But it didn’t feel like it was always warranted in '25.
It hasn’t but he had already hit at his target rate, imo, at least what he was showing before the injury.
I feel like we underutilize St. Patrick on jet sweeps in high leverage situations. Remember how dominant Cooper Kupp was dominant on those in his peak. Usually just taking it off tackle or sometimes even the B gap.
I hear you. Overall, we were way to predictable on 4th in '25. It didn’t feel that way, esp in '23 when we were ahead of the curve.
been saying nearly the same thing for years, I wasn’t overly worried about our Offense, they could really cook at times, I always complained about our defensive strength-0r lack of it. coupled with all the damn injuries.
That being the case and given that the D was actually quite good from an anlytics standpoint weeks 1-10 and pretty terrible 11-18.
NFLVerse uses the broadcast tags for alignment so it’s position on roster. According to Sumer sports’ charting the had Detroit down at 7 snaps of Dime. That is most likely due to AA flexing out and playing as a CB or NB and hence being treated schematically as a DB. Obviously the injuries especially to the secondary both impacted the choices KS made as well as the out put but still interesting to see what was different from when things were going well to when they were not.
The main thing I notice is that it seems like we played smaller/lighter earlier in the year. It seems that we are going that way which is reassuring bc it means Shep actually cares about the data.
And again, the defensive formation stuff is going be different than actual alignment. When we aligned Hutch as a LBer it is still going to revert to his roster position. So we could be aligned passively schematically but with big personnel and here it will just show up as we had X amount of big dudes on the field. The limits of free data I suppose.
