I am no longer happy with the idea that you’ve been fed a study diet of White Castle for so long that we should just be happy with Texas Roadhouse and not want to visit Ruth Chris
So what’s the plan? Brad and Dan have stated many times they will not deviate from their plan, so people have to be willing to fire them. Is that where the fan base is arriving? It seems like that’s where it’s trending. I’d walk through the NFL graveyard of good intentions and ponder that a while before coming to that conclusion.
Failure is a good teacher. Right now they look closer to perennial Buffalo than Dynasty 49ers or Patriots.
Is that bad? Heck no. But it’s year 5. We look incredibly beatable by good teams.
Im good with Year 6 running it back draftwise, but if we are in position in season, Brad better Howie himself some reinforcements. Because we haven’t been able to overcome these injuries.
I agree with others that the Packers and Bills are a bit based on reputation. There are plenty of Bills fans who will tell you they are pissing away Josh Allen’s prime. Not even a SB appearance with one of the most talented and physically dominant QBs of the last 5+ years.
The Packers are the other one I’d take issue with. They’ve made some good moves, and they def have a good front office - but elite? They’ve made better win the division this year because if not I think we have to finally accept they are simply a product of media hype.
I view them as Cowher’s Steelers or 2000s Colts. Teams that are consistent with a culture. If you sustain that eventually you win it all.
Bad timing with the Chiefs peaking in this time also. And perfect description why it’s so hard to go the whole way.
Far easier to go from good to average than good to great
