Eh, I would argue making the league is pretty good on the “doing” end of things. They certainly made a lot of money! Dan, Brunell, Shep, etc… These guys are the top 1% of football players in the history of the world.
They’re just not the top .01%
I just think at a certain level, the game comes so easy to them it’s difficult for them to pass on what makes them good to others. “Just do what I did” is not a viable coaching strategy.
