The rules are just really hamstringing us. The fact that you can only spend a percentage of your overall income just crushes anyone trying to ācome up,ā because of course theyāre not selling as much merch worldwide. Itās very loaded towards the rich teams, for sure. Baseball and college sports are challenging them, but soccer reins supreme. And always will, because as soon as a league tries to put in a cap, all the players will just go play in a different country and different league. So theyāre stuck with it.
