The Den

Been coming here for as long long time, always been the best place for Lions news and to talk Lions football and anytime of the year. But I find myself coming less and less, I’m not sure what happen to the Den, but there is as many topics about the Tigers and pistons then the Lions, kinda frustrating have to siffer through all the tiger and piston topics to get to the Lions stuff.

Is the Tigers just not popular enough to have a Tigers Den or maybe the Garage for the pistons to talk baseball and basketball. How did my favorite Lions place become the Den of all sports. It’s not the Lions den anymore it’s a sports board. Hell were talking about safety’s and next thing I know a poster starts talking about the Tigers pistons and Redwings, do they even have safety’s ?

This place was a special place for Lions fans there no place on the net like this place , it was all Lions , now it’s any Detroit team. I know it’s baseball season and not football but can’t ever remember it taking over the board. Now I don’t see it as a special place for Lions fans. Guess nothing last forever.

So my question is why isn’t there a Tigers Den ? Why not a place to talk about baseball , instead of taking away from the Lions Den that’s was made to talk Detroit Lions Football.

And still Like the Garage for the pistons.

For a while there was a way to separate the other sports but that changed recently if I understand correctly.

It’s been great for those that follow all the Michigan sports teams, pro and collegiate, as the main Tiger forum a few of us were part of shut down a few years ago.

Not sure how you can separate the threads, but i love the broader coverage. A one stop MI sports shop

Yeah well it takes away from what made this board so special for Lions fans.

Well, not my goal to divide the board.
But I love it.
Lions coverage dominates during the season and the draft window.

At the top of The Den main page, you can click on Categories, then click on NFL and it will only show you topics that are football based. I think that may be what you are looking for, so hopefully this helps.

And that’s great and people have right to that, it like we turn in to the Walmart of message boards.

Well if you equate Tigers, Lions, Pistons, RWings sports to Walmart, well that is a TC Mouse problem

I tried that but it didn’t change anything still all Tigers and piston even a redwings, i loose patience and just leave. I’m to much of a fanatic to not keep coming back. Hell this year seems like it’s just full.

Ok. On mine, here is what it looks like.

Normal Den homepage

Changing categories to NFL

Just to add, when I change the category to NFL, it changes the homepage link. Maybe try this link, and see if it looks better for you?

Dude you said one stop shopping. Sounds like Walmart to me.

If you wanna buy a suit are you going to walmart or to a suit shop ?

That’s cool I tired that but it didn’t do that on mine I’ll have to try it again thanks for that

Totally agree. I live in Iowa and couldn’t care less about the Pistons or Tigers. I come here for one reason, the Detroit Lions. Have a second board or something if you want to have those topics. I tried messing with the categories and the Tigers and Pistons topics still filter through to this board. Hopefully someone has a way to help

Also isn’t it a legit Question to wonder why these teams don’t have the own Board.

I realized my link attempt didn’t work because it’s automatically setting the link and not giving you the text. See if this works.

thedenforum.com /c/nfl/49 - delete the space between .com and /c so it reads all together, like this → .com/c/nfl/49

When I was racing horse there was a small trainer who really y had a hands on way going, he only had about 8-9 horse but they won alot even being small his barn was considered special his win % was great. Then he grew had like 25 horses. Even though he had more money and was a bigger trainer it wasnt the same. With in about 2 year nobody ever talk about that barn being special anymore.

Getting bigger doesn’t always make you better, some things are special for a reason.
