This is the schedule and I’ve been harping on it all season but this loss they should have won makes it even more of an issue…
At Washington - the same team that embarrassed the Lions last year, assuming that Daniels will be playing
At Philly - Yikes
Giants - Should win
Green Bay - The same team that embarrassed the Lions in Week 1
Dallas - Should win but that Dallas offense could go off
at Rams - Another yikes, arguably the best team in football
Pittsburgh - Another playoff contender, won’t be easy
at Minnesota - The same team that just beat the Lions
at Chicago - In the cold against an improved Bears team, a team that will be looking for revenge after getting throttled by the Lions early in the season
I’ve said since the offseason that the schedule, combined with the questions on the offensive line, is going to be a problem so the Lions couldn’t afford any slip ups. Well, they slipped up this week and they’ll be in a dogfight to make the playoffs with an offensive line that is likely to be even more depleted with Mahogany out. They can definitely miss the playoffs, I don’t think it’s likely they do but it’s more of a possibility than people would be comfortable admitting IMO.
We seriously are in jeopardy of missing out.
Gonna be a dogfight for our division.
And if we beat each other up there may not be a wildcard team from our Division.
We absoulutely need to step it up. And we can’t afford to shit the bed on Tday like we usually do
I don’t know if I’d go that far, but they’re not the dominant team the media thinks they are. 10-7, 11-6 is most likely. Other teams will slip up and lose too. See Packers today at home against Carolina. Shit happens.
I love the team, but as constructed and with current injuries, we are NOT a SB contender. Good team, sure. But SB level, nope.
It’s slightly better than I anticipated honestly. 4-4 was my thought. With this schedule, I was, and still am hoping to back into the 5-7 seed. But hopefully healthy.
Schedule, coordinators, young OLinman, mixed with whatever likely injuries. They answered for the Ravens and Bucs. Lost it to the Pack and Vikes.
And it seems like bye weeks are an issue. Team comes out flat.
If you think our schedule has some bumps in it go ahead and take a look at Green Bay and Chicago schedule and Minnesota’s isn’t that much easier than theirs. There’s going to be a whole lot of beating up on each other in our division and the Packers get easily lose four or five more games. I’ve got us at two or three, I’m assuming the health situation settles down and the interior offensive line figures *** out.
11 and 6 could win this division, just like it probably going to win the NFC South. Tennessee West looks like it’s going to take two of the three wild card slots
