Awesome article.

Great read, thanks for sharing.

I make the mistake of reading the comments who think this article is bullshit because of the faith aspect. I fell sorry for those who feel the need to criticize a person’s journey through anger. It was interesting that one person said “BB had trauma and father issues and needed counseling not brainwashing”. I find it interesting because as a psychologist, yes therapy helps. But therapy alone didn’t take the anger out of my own heart. I needed a lot more then just therapy and I don’t see any issue with someone helping BB on his journey as he did. Everyone’s journey is different. But I have seen time and time again that BB’s story is a beautiful example of healing and faith. My favorite story from the bible is the Prodigal Son. Period. Empathy, Unconditional Love, Forgiveness. Things I all struggle with at times.

@FreebirdPartDeux you always find the amazing articles for us to read. Thank you brother.

I just hope he doesn’t lose his edge!

Totally reasonable, but I also understand the people who felt it was a bit predatory. I also feel that perspective is reasonable.

You’re welcome. Usually, NYT articles are behind a paywall, so this was a pretty rare exception.

I really dislike the use of predatory in relation to this story. It inappropriate. I will leave it at that without going into a deeper rabbit hole of faith.
