I’m trying to remember any team as disjointed at the QB position than the Vikings have been over the past four years. It may be unprecedented.
2023 - 6th year for Kirk cousins. Has Achilles injury and they let him go. He eventually heals up and has been semi-productive over the past 3 years.
2024 - they sign Sam Darnold and all he does is deliver a 14 - 3 season. They also trade up from the number 11 spot to the number 10 spot to draft JJ McCarthy.
2025 - apparently a 14–3 season is not good enough and they let Darnold go. He just happens to win the Super Bowl in his first year with Seattle. Now it’s time for a full helping of the JJ experiment. It lasts exactly 10 games.
2026 - somehow they think Kyler Murray is the answer and make a low risk trade. They cut ties with JJ for a fifth round pick. Currently with the Giants, he’s looking to be at least adequate / intriguing. Now the Vikes are unhappy with Murray and are discussing spending a second round pick to reacquire…wait for it… the 38-year-old corpse of Kirk Cousins.
How many sleepless nights do you think KOC, the QB whisperer, has these days? That might be the most fraudulent moniker of all time. More like the QBFuckerUpper.
