A few snippets

Biggest concerns

Lewis: The Lions offense. Detroit is first in the NFL in success rate and points per drive. More at link

Krawczynski: That Kevin O’Connell and Wes Phillips try a little too hard to match Dan Campbell and Ben Johnson in the creativity department.

Most interesting matchup

Lewis: The Vikings passing game versus the Lions secondary.
Krawczynski: Jahmyr Gibbs versus Blake Cashman.

Predictions

Lewis: Vikings 31, Lions 29.

Krawczynski: Vikings 37, Lions 36. I don’t know, man. Flip a coin.

Lions score 30pts - they win, if they don’t it’s a coin flip

I think this is going to be a statement game for the Lions. There will be no doubt who the best team in the league is after Sunday night.

I have the same feeling.
Chicago was confident after the way they played us in Detroit and was sure they’d beat us at their house. We handled them with no problem.
I know MN is not like Chicago, but the determination of this Lions team is going to be monumental. Might not be a blow out, but I’m getting the feeling, Dan and the guys will get it done and handily.

Honestly, I’m starting to get that feeling as well.
I doubt it’ll be as much as a 28 point margin of victory but I think the combination of the Lions being counted out by many, the Ford Field crowd and Darnold having never played in an environment like this before will lead to a double digit victory and a pretty convincing one. I’ll shoot my shot at 38-24 Lions.
I have a big amount of respect for the Vikings but I think they’re walking into a Hornets Nest on Sunday Night.

Add about 12 points to each team.

One or both these teams gone score 40 points or more. This actually might be like the 1995 Thanksgiving game. But I do agree with flip a coin as to who wins :person_shrugging:

I’m going UNDER 56.5

Exactly how we want it. Dan’s going to have the boys playing like a bunch of rabid wolves. Or Lions I guess.

I forgot how the last game went. We put 21 unanswered points on them before that fumble by dmon returned for a td.

I’d like to feel that way but I felt that way about the Bills game and we came up flat offensively.

Hopefully the offense will be firing on all cylinders.

I am predicting 4 sacks by a certain d end who was a viking and now is a lion.

And we had the Branch defensive reversed bc Nailor was out of bounds by a toenail. It was very close to a drubbing despite us spotting them an early lead.

Terrion opened his mouth. Would be baller if he backed it up with his first pick.
