Thibodeaux interview

For the record I love all things malik

It’s great that he has interests outside football. That means he’ll be a success in life regardless of how his career turns out. If I’m making the pick at #2 I’d rather take the guy that lives and breathes football.

Malik has a great attitude but so did Tim Tebow.

Tebow won a playoff game…

I’m just kidding around here…. :smirk:

edit… I do have to say Tebow had a terrible arm and wasn’t nearly as quick or fast as Willis.
Willis is a much better QB prospect based on physical ability.

I always appreciate you taking the time to read my stuff, man. Really do. Love the openness and willingness to consider a different opinion. You’ve always had that.

Hahaha! Yup. Coming soon enough, man.

Yes - this is 100% of us, at all times. I could go way into that. This is part of the reason I say “if people knew e/o, they’d love e/o.”

See what’s going on clearly, so they don’t get triggered in the first place…not just feel good about it. More fulfilled than happy. I don’t ever teach ppl to avoid pain, I teach them to deal with it. Pain is coming. We attach anchors to pain, and our fear centers see pain coming that isn’t even there. I teach ppl to recognize

  1. Most of the pain that you see is purely imagined
  2. The pain that is real isn’t as intense as you think, as it doesn’t mean what you think it means (usually).
  3. to have a relationship with what is real, instead of the fantasy bond/projection with pain and suffering. A fantasy bond can be somethign that sets you up for failure in having an expectation that someone will show up amazingly, or it can be a fantasy bond like “men suck, or women suck, or people suck, or whatever that fantasy bond is”
  4. Peace is the highest priority. When we can see through a lens of peace, notice OUR OWN trigger, we get to look at where it comes from, be at peace with it, and deal with that, instead of projecting our “pain and/or suffering of the past” onto other ppl.
…just peace and fulfillment that I teach. Feeling good is the side effect of having a deep relationship with a deeper truth

I appreciate that feedback, my man. I’ll do my best to be more conscious of that moving forward. There are lots of people that reach out for help, and sometimes we don’t know which hat we’re wearing with which people and what is expected of us. I KNOW you’re not some sort of internet bully or anything, and I’m not calling you out in the slightest…just pointing out how I feel. Literally almost exclusively explaining how I feel, without intent of saying anything about any other human.
In some cases, I absolutely WILL point out what is going on if someone is bullying. It’s not judging…it’s raising awareness. It is literally intended to be an offering of peace, when I speak it to people (so they can experience peace within themselves).

You are never wrong for feeling what you’re feeling, and I appreciate you stating your truth. My intent is never for anyone to feel judged/or to judge them. I do however feel that we are all responsible for our own energy, and when people project, it impacts the overall energy of the group. If I point out projection, it’s not judging…but also not taking on their energy. When lots of people take on that energy, and a big pissing contest starts in here, it impacts the energy of the entire group. I do say something when I see someone trying to bully other people, as it helps the entire group to have a smoother energy (like energy management). If it comes across that way sometimes, please remember my intent…also…when you speak your truth, you help me to see where I can either be better w/my communication (sometimes I get lazy w/my communication, for sure…and can be misinterpreted).

Haha! I think we’re all perfect!

My guess…just media handlers.

My “method” is not the difference, it’s what I teach that is different. Some of the leadership components are probably similar to what other ppl are doing, but I’m more of a love/oneness coach than anything. Giving people peace and happiness. Gives people more energy to focus on what matters and not get distracted by “little stuff”. Not even the same thing as a media handler.

1000% yes to this. Not judging him and never did. only evaluating how he’s currently showing up.

Thanks, brother. I love that you have the strength to communicate so directly without being “pissy.” So good. That’s the only way any humans will ever get to a deeper truth on anything. Huge fan of direct communication.

Thanks for telling me your truth and where you are at. It only helps me to see where I can improve - always.

Likewise my friend!! I also appreciate we can communicate like this. Everyone is different with this stuff but getting in the weeds to discover truth through discourse is extremely rewarding for everyone. It’s funny I think we come from similar places most of the time with our motivations but have our own unique styles about how to look at things. At a base level I agree with your main theme that love is the solution for most discomfort. Thanks for the well explained open arms response.

There is nothing new about people who have their eyes focused on the west coast, insulting the south. Literally nothing. It happens every day. I could pull up a random comedian on netflix right now who is from the west coast, playing to that audience. Within 10 minutes they will inevitably have a joke about “I was in Alabama last week and blah, blah, blah.”

The more I hear from and about Thibodeaux, the more I’d rather the Lions go with Hamilton if Hutch is off the board:

  1. The ‘Woah, I don’t know if I wanna go there’ comment is pretty telling.
  2. He’s about his money. While not necessarily a damning trait, I’d prefer guys who are about football.

Thibs scares me.

:pray:Always, brother!

Kyler Gordon I think is solid sleeper who will be very good pro an get drafted maybe not till bottom of 2 early 3

This interview has a different vibe to it. Yeah, it’s still show-me-the-money, but this Thibs could play for Dan.

It’s gonna be a fit question that only DC can really answer.

We don’t seem to have a scheme oriented approach going on right now. Our process is aimed at getting buy in and effort, regardless of talent, with the X’s and O’s to come after.

The whole thing hinges on whether DC’s Mr. Motivator thing will work for long enough for the talent and strategy to fill in. DC is really the only person who can figure out who will fit that approach better. I don’t think the talent gap is big enough between the two choices to override the fit concern.

Sounds like a kid to me.

Completely agree

Guarantee it does, my man. It’s not motivation…it’s inspiration. Connectedness to who you are as a man and how you show up in the world. Inspired action is different than motivated action. you can motivate a mule. Think Mandalorian…“This is the way”…it’s a MF’n lifestyle. You’ll see.

We’re Lions fans and I can’t fault anyone for having doubts.

I’m telling you this is different.

I think we have enough areas devoid of talent that they won’t have to worry aobut position fit for another year or 2. LOL. BPA → energetic fit, rather than having to worry about position as much. I know finances play into it and am aware that I don’t understand that as well as some others. I’m gonna trust the professionals, and this is the first time in my lifetime that we’ve actually had professionals running this gig.

I thought that was a solid interview. Lots of canned speak …

Glad he was honest enough to admit that he fits a different position than Hutch does.
Thibs is an OLB, Hutch is a 43 DE.

Ok. I listened to it and truthfully its a lot less douchebaggy than I expected when I heard he said he didn’t want to play for the Rams. The interview was fine but very canned. Apparently he’s working with an agent now that has him reading the teleprompter.

I don’t think you can say Hutch is strictly a 4-3 DE. He played in a 2 point stance often @ Michigan.

Just look at some of these highlights, rarely in his hand on the ground, and he’s lined up wide.

T.J Watt plays outside backer in a 3-4, same scheme we run in Detroit.
