Took the time to welcome all draft picks. Definitely a good spirit to have in locker room.
I did not see the vision, but Brad Holmes did.
He knew EXACTLY what he was bringing into the building when he targeted and signed Jamaal Williams.
A culture builder - the ROI is through the roof with that investment.
Heās a great teammate and locker room guy for sure and keeps the chains moving. Just wish he was a little more explosive in the run game.
Love the guy. Sure do wish he had WAY more top end speed.
Hope to upgrade next offseason.
If the nfl doesnāt make him the sports version of Oprah after he retires they all need to be fired. This guy needs his own show. I donāt think espn is smart enough to hire him. Even though Iād watch him over anything they have on right now.
IMO heās one of the more solid inside zone runners in the league. Itās not flashy of course.
5 years in the league and finished 3 seasons where he didnāt crack 4 yards per carry.
He runs hard, but safeties are not going to bite on play action when the RB averages less than 4 yards per carry, and rarely breaks a run longer than 8-12 yards. Again, I like the dude. And we will have a role for him next year, but defensive co-ordinators aint worried about him.
But he was their short yardage runner which of course effects the average. That and heās clearly not a game breaker so heās not going to have the advantage of chunk plays stretching the average. When you need tough interior yards heās a damn good option.
I love this guy. He has an energy, spirit and presence that cannot be emulated or duplicated. And I know he doesnāt love his production but I think @BigNatty would agree.
Heās the guy that sits down next to you when you feel like youāre having the worst day of your life and two minutes later you feel better without realizing what was happening. Not because you tried, but because you got J-Willād.
I honestly hope they can re-sign him at a nice and feasible price that keeps him in the locker room.
As @najacks said, just listening to him is more interesting than any talking head, no matter if heās talking football or something else like anime. He just exudes the juice.
And as @CuriousHusker said, heās not a break it guy. Heās a āWe need these 3 yardsā guy. And he does a damn fine job at it.
I just love what Dan and Brad have built. How many amazing humans do the Lions have in the locker room? WTH, man!!! A huge part of the culture was bringing in dudes that already have it iān them⦠wasnāt even ābuilt,ā to some extent.
We have dudes sitting at home that literally feel like theyāre locked out of coming back. Our guys just won 3 games and they DONāT WANT vacation!!!
this is funā¦
Exactly. #1 on topic J-Will is that guy. #2 Goff is also that guy, working out elsewhere with his guys. and #3. YES! Tracy Walkers and others in different words have flat out said āI canāt wait to get back into the building.ā Who says that in March or April?
This team is an army itching to go to war. And not just for a contract, but with each other. Everybody has everybody elseās back. And they LOVE their coaches and vice versa.
Truly Elite culture. Iām trying to think of the wording Brad used when describing one of the guys we just drafted, but itās the first time Iāve heard a GM use the word āelite,ā when describing character. Iām almost surprised at how many of these types they are able to get. Very easy to root for them.
I got you buddy. Here it is.

Thanks for looking all of that up. The one in bold is what I was talking about. Really appreciate you, man. I love all of this so much.
One small complaint. How the hell are you gonna play football with āpop in your hands?ā WTF? Hopefully itās sugar free, but at his age, I guess he can metabolize it.
Love our team and am elated with what is going on w/our guys.
Smart ass.
Itās the Den itās what we do! Side note how do I get a cool phrase like āThe Bald Emissaryā next to my name?
Check your inbox, brother
OMG I love this dude. #WarriorShit
who is āSwaggyā ?
