I mentioned this in the year the Lions lost to the 49ers. I saw the same thing in the Dallas game earlier that year too—gambling regardless of the situation. At the time, I thought, is Ben Johnson screwing us? But when I saw Ben Johnson with Chicago, he only takes calculated risks.
This is why Dan is always suspicious to me. Even if we get two good coordinators, I can see Dan’s emotions taking over and screwing us in the playoffs. Prove me wrong.
I told you guys that I have a feel for players as a sportsman. These are the guys I am short-selling for the Detroit Lions: Dan Campbell, Goff, Hutchinson, Arnold, Decker, and Kerby. I see inconsistency throughout all four quarters in these players and coaches.

The intent of this post is obvious.
But I will say that Brad Holmes failed Dan and the team this season. Idk whether it was intentional as a part of some secret strategy or not but it reminds me of when it was obvious our run game was horrible and Stafford needed the support and Bob Quinn gave Caldwell ameer Abdullah and Zach fridking zenner as weapons to help. And pat oConnor and a bunch of no names on the d-line.
fans were complaining way worse than they are now but the coach always seems to be scapegoated by some as if the coaches are the ones running the ball and making tackles.

Because of how he’s already changed. When the OL/run game got better, we totally changed how we did things. Years 1 and 2, lots of Foxy threading the needle with a laser. Later –> “■■■■ you, we’re running for the first”. With less talent, it requires MORE risk, as you have to do that in order to win. I agree that Fox could have won a game for us if we had used him more (as a punter).
If we improve the OL, we’re a contender IMMEDIATELY!
Why holmes ? Players got injured .We had healthy front 7. What area you are talking that Holmes didn’t add depth other than injuries? @SimTheLionFan . Players has to minimize mistakes to win big games and be impactful,start with Goff and hutch. You guys will thank espnbaby end of next year . Goff experiment will be complete next year end. Don’t call my parents ,saying in advance I am an orphan cute baby. Also all stats we can boil it and serve it equally
O-line and D-line reinforcements mainly. He’s always had problematic position groups and i gave him a pass because he was rebuilding.. and he proved himself. But after a 15-2. The way he neglected the DE and OC and OT positions felt wildly irresponsible.
what good is investing all those resources into your secondary if you’re just going to fail them by not adding any DE pressure? This horse has been beaten to death so I’ll leave it at that.
But O-line is our identity. 1. Because it gives us the running game to keep our defense off the field but 2.Jared Goff NEEDS it to do his job.
There’s no reason we shouldn’t have gotten aggressive with veteran reserves to protecting him and Our team identity. Especially after giving him that long term contract and extending Montgomery. I get developing the rookie guards but relying on them to start with a new scheme that asked so much of them was simply foolish. And maybe some other is on Dan to change the scheme but idk.
Decker should have had a real veteran swing behind him that could have alleviated the pressure to play so he could be healed and ready for next season and so he could have rested earlier in the season instead of playing at 50% and letting us down and still harming himself..
When we played KC their starting tackle went down and fans thoughts this would give us an advantage. Except they had spent money on their 3rd OT and he did pretty good. the commentator mentioned during the game: Their GM realized that their offense fell apart once the tackle went down the season before and he made it a priority to make sure they weren’t in that position again. And I thought the same thing everyone else thought when the rest of the league signed and traded for DEs this season: “ohhhh so it ISSSS possible”

All good points bro, but I can take it when and athletic nfp player like goff can’t even collect a flee flicker, How do we trust this kind of guys in crunch moment, in playoffs defense will be tight especially from championship game onwards
Yeah I see what people were saying about Goff. I’ve been trying my best to support him and I see his elite potential. But after all these seasons and these random games with all those turnovers I’m struggling to see what separates hi from the Jordan loves and dak prescotts and etc. great at times and shitting the bed when we need him. Enough excuses.
but I think if he was mobile and had escapability we win a ton more games.. and we wouldn’t have to have throw Johnny Mo under the bus

So your plan is to get rid of several of the best players we have and the head coach who won 2 playoff games for the first time in 3 decades. Without Goff we have no QB. Without Hutch we have zero pass rush.

Every team has to deal with adversity. This is adversity.
Winning teams overcome adversity. There’s a bunch of stuff to clean up between now and camp.
Winners never quit.
Quitters never win.
This team won 15 games last season. This team has a winning record during Brad and Dans tenure.
Everyone is disappointed.
Nobody more than the team. Fans support them.
