I judge this team by the full season, and there’s no way that this was a Same Old Lions season. Even with the loss in the NFC championship it wasn’t a total blowout like 1991. This is an unprecedentedly good team in the Super Bowl era.
But my goodness, that was the Same Old Lionsest third quarter that I’ve ever seen.

The Lions just have to continue to improve this roster. If that means getting a new number 2 WR, so be it. Right now, I think Reynolds is a good #3. I don’t know where Jamo is. Sometimes he amazes me. Other times I just shake my head.

It happened all year. So until that ends, its seriously SOL. I had a friend out in Oregon on video chat watching the game with me, he doesnt watch the Lions much and he could not believe that was an NFL team. I yawned, been watching it all my life.
I would suggest that the Cowboys shit the bed with the best of them. But by your standard, the only way to not be the SOL is to win the Super Bowl? Team went 14-6 and was in the NFC championship game and the SOL happened all year? What ■■■■■■■ team were you watching?

How many stupid, self inflicted plays in row were there? I counted 8. Other teams don’t gamble over and over, continue to lose, give up points, fumble, play awful defensive sets, have their key guys drop the most passes of any game this year in the most important game, etc.
What would else do you need to see from that 3rd quarter that would get you into the SOL hump. Dan taking a shit on the sidelines?
