Ok, since everyone’s making threads about draft prospects, I’ll throw another name out there. I think Chase is the best receiver in this class over Devonta Smith and Waddle. I also think that because of Smith’s production this season, a team I’m front of us (Eagles) could take him instead. My personal opinion is that Golladay is gone after this season, and I don’t know if new brass wants to bring back a 30/31 year old Marvin Jones. Wideout isn’t our biggest need now, but give me an offensive coach and more Stafford and this pick could make sense.
If we are moving on from KG and need a true #1 I think I’d go with Smith. I do think Smith has a tad more upside but Smith is so damn polished.
If we keep KG, and I hope we do, then I’d rather address WR in round 2 or 3.

I’m all for Chase.
Chase is a blue chip talent at a position of need. Absolutely in play.
If he is available when we pick you have to take him. He is a play maker and will greatly help any team that drafts him. The only players I would take over him is Micah Parsons or Trevor Lawrence and I believe they will both be gone.
Who else is available? I’d take Lawrence, Fields, Sewell or Parsons over him. Maybe Wilson as well.
I’d rather wait and see what top WR drops to the 2nd.

The prospect of a dynamic offensive weapon is always so tempting at the top of the draft but this team needs defensive help in the worst possible way…
Also, doesn’t it seem that the impact of rookie wr’s from the last draft is somewhat underwhelming considering all the pre-draft hype? You could argue that only Jefferson is a difference maker.
You don’t take a WR at the top of the 1st round in the deepest WR draft in recent history… Baaaaaad value… We should be drafting in the top 10 (I don’t think we win another game, especially if Stafford is out) so I believe we end up at 5-11 which should be good enough for pick 6-8… Gotta take a QB or DE… Maybe Parsons
You take the best player. Wr is still an impact position. Parsons will be gone. If chase makes it to us… Which I still highly doubt, and he’s the only blue chip talent left (likely with where we pick) you have to take him.
