He just had a lot of holes in his game if you watched rather than listen to the narrative. ESPECIALLY for the way we wanted to play. The thing he does well he does really well, but the stuff he doesn’t… well, see above.

Man that’s a strange story. I removed him from my crush list after his awful final year, but still only dropped him into the 40s on my board. 4th round was waaaay too low. That said, I think it was the best thing to ever happen to him, he’s sort of like the ARSB of DTs.

I guess the backstory for that was that he was laboring under a nagging injury, and then there was waffling about even wanting to play football–which was a huge red flag. Sensibly, NFL money versus Walmart won out.

And we can’t even be certain about that. It’s just the whispers we get from the outside looking in. There has to be some reason for his drop - and maybe he DOES have an injury that could shorten his career. But for now he looks like the freak we saw before his final season.
