So my wife notice one on my leg. I pulled the f er. Still alive. Never had a tick on my before? Should I be worried or just watch it?

You pulled it off? Did the head come with it? Go to urgent care and they will give you antibiotics……better safe then sorry. Better to be safe then sorry. Lymes is no fun.

It’s probably smart to still go and get it checked out. Been bite a few times, dad got bite and did have lymes, knew a few other people who got it from ticks, pretty normal to get bite when you live in the country……but should get it checked out.

Just monitor it. It will get red at the bite site, but watch if a halo develops around it like a bullseye. That isn’t “always” Lyme, but “can be” a sign of it and or infection. If you plucked out the whole tick, just make sure to clean the site well and you are more than likely all good. Also, if you got to him in less than 24 hours, your chance of getting the bacterial transfer drops tremendously.

Have your wife pee on the wound. Keeps it from getting infected.

Ticks heads can still burrow under your skin and give you an illness @Martymcfly2017 , better safe than sorry-I would go have it checked out just to be safe.

Put the tick on a piece of tape then put the tape on a piece of paper with the date, and, location of the bite.
If you become symptomatic, you’ll be able to take it to the Doctors office with you.
As for the wound. Clean it thoroughly, then, clean it with alcohol.
