Tigers @ Athletics: 7/31 - 8/2 Clark debut

I swear I am not saying this out of hopes and dreams…but I seriously believe you could be looking at another 2006 version with the young dudes. I am with you, stop wasting time with the riffraff and bring these young, hungry players in. Has Briceno been called up yet?? I’d like to see Rainer and Max Anderson too

For sure. Lots of young talent. The future is bright with the Tigers. Shit they might still make the playoffs yet. The American League is just so bad

This As team without their top 2 hitters. It’s like a pitchers wet dream. Cheap easy stats.

True but I still appreciate what I saw from Montero today. I feel like our future is in good hands.

In a world without payrolls, they would have all been called up already. But can you imagine if like four of these guys turn into Skubal what the trade deadline would look like if the Tigers lost control of them all in the same year? They would probably have to build a couple of more towers just to handle the insessent calling from every GM in the league.

Because our ‘small market’ team ain’t paying for most of them.

Don’t know if I’ve ever seen a whole bullpen with absolutely zero redeeming qualities that literally needs to be replaced from top to bottom. It’s wild…no hyperbole, not one of these chuds should be on this team if/when there’s a 2027 season. At least Scott has a clear blueprint of job #A1.

It’s not the bullpen. They are fine.

Glad this isnt a month ago…we’d be getting a hefty deep throat of Veirling, Jones, and Rogers in a game like this, instead of young MLB players who can play, ewwww

Our new back-up catcher now has more RBIs for us than our old back-up catcher. And is better at using his razor.

May was not a good month for Max, struggled in the field and at the plate.
June is where he started to turn things around

I get it, but so was the Tigers offense…imo he wouldnt have been worse here than other guys we had on this team, but that’s the past I reckon.

I think they should have called him up mid June but they are pretty adamant that they want guys to improve on specific items. When they do that then they move them up.
And the Tigers offense and defense hasn’t been an issue since June 1st the pen has been the issue.

Fair enough, and tbh, I just want to look forward (even if it’s in my nature to be a snarky douche about the recent past, I’m trying to be better :grimacing:). Scott has alot to work with to remold this team, I hope he does it right, because there are reasons to be excited about the good things he’s done and the future, regardless of his past bad decisions.
