I guess the Tigers are getting the party started early.
Skubal definitley getting traded after this move ![]()
Lol. This kid is probably more of a project than anything else. He does have very good raw stuff, though, and lots of room to develop.
Remember that the 9th round draft pick, Tarik Skubal, was also thought of like that once upon a time.
Sent this to the graders today. Wonder if it makes it back while he still has an Olde English D on his uni.
If not, hope he gets traded somewhere with yellow in the color scheme.
Question for you bud… I have heard the official grading of cards is pricy these days. I got an old collection from my youth but I’d imagine they aint worth much without the quality grades?
Not necessarily. The older the card obviously the more chance that the card is not in as good of a shape but if they are the high-end guys from those years they’re still some decent values attached to that even at the lower grades. And some collectors don’t care about grades they care about how the car looks if it’s centered really nicely but has other issues say on the back then some people are a little more forgiving not worried about the grading. It depends how old we’re talking about too if you’re talking about 70s guys and 60s guys and 50s yeah sure. Going to still have some value there early '80s not as much 80s and '90s really not at all and then the modern cards coming around in the 2010s pick the values back up
Appreciate it… Last question don’t wanna hijack the thread but recommended website or app to buy and sell cards?
That’s a pretty broad generalization even some cards from the '80s have some good value the Mattingly rc I have in a nine is about 100 bucks I think Perfect 10 Sandberg Topps rookie is in the mid thousands so yeah there’s still money in the 80s stuff it’s just got to be really nice

Hitting Coach update…
Beauregard will be looking for other opportunities other than the Tigers apparently. From what I read the contracts for Brdar and Zawadski only went through the 2025 as well. So it remains to be seen whether the Tigers try to keep them on or go with a whole new crew of hitting coaches,
On a side note, it looks like 1st base coach Iapoce is leaving the organization as well.

I don’t think anybody here is going to be upset that the Tigers will have a new hitting coach next year.
Hopefully he’s the one that thinks strikeouts don’t matter.
We need an approach more built to the park we play in.
Need a RH versatile power hitter for the bench.
Preferably with a crossfire batting stance and top hand finger tap/hand wave in his setup.
Yknow, like this guy. Plus the middle initial usage of course.

Tigers moves i like to see at least two new bats in the lineup
Bring Verlander back. Vet and pitched great the last few months.
Two new BP arms. With one of them being a closer
They need to figure out where Keith will play. Do they bring back Torres as well. Can Carpenter play rf the whole year. I personally dont want Meadows back, but im fine with him being the 4th outfielder…for defense only. Will baez be the cf or ss. Going to be a interesting off season.
Loved, loved, loved Wockenfuss.
