I didn’t see a thread today.
Didn’t watch the first 6 innings as they were being no-hit by Soriano.
Watched the 7th inning as they had 5 hits to take a 4-2 lead.
And…..
watched the S.O.B. do it again!!!
Same. Old. Blowpen.
Fukkin’ Finnegan flopped… ![]()

AJ’s $19M 35 year old steaming pile. Apparently Holton was so gassed after throwing 15 pitches such that we couldn’t bring him back for another inning?
Don’t look now but after Finn-HR-again the flaming Jan-meister has entered the chat…
I’ve never seen a reliever that can’t find the strike zone consistently quite like Jansen
Damn Tigers are going to make me pay attention to them until the end of September.
Tigers are only 4.5 games out of playoffs…
despite the BLOWPEN and all the injuries. ![]()
The American League is so pathetic this year. White Sox have been choking. Guardians and Jays keep shooting themselves in the foot. The Rangers and Houston are both trying to see who can with a division with a losing record. It’s ridiculous. If these teams were in the National League they wouldn’t have any chance to make the playoffs. Probably be 10 games back.
Detroit bullpen disease. He’s not the only one.
As for the game today, Jay’s blew chances early to put this game away. When they didn’t, the Tigers took advantage before the bullpen gave the lead back.
McG and Greene with 2 more hits a piece. Greene seeing the ball really well. Future looks bright providing the bullpen gets a complete overhaul. I’d be willing to trade Tork and a prospect if it would get someone reliable there.
One of the best games I’ve watched all year. It had everything. A true rollercoaster.
So the Tigers have won 6 of 7??!!. Which of those games did I go see? Yep. SMH.
Any time!
If you want draft picks, I’m your man. Last few years:
Tigers 0-3.
Lions 0-2: The teams were 5-0 and 1-0 going into the games that I watched.
I’m availale for a small fee.

Have you at least considered streaking the field to motivate the players?

Pretty sure this is @JerseyJungle
Haha kinda looks like him.

i remember that one. It kinda hurt.
No concussion protocol in your day! Right back to work in the AM.
Unrelated but Tigers related it looks like none of the Tigers two years plus service time guys are going to qualify for super 2 arbitration where they would get their arbitration started in year 3 instead of year four. This of course assumes that the arbitration setup would be the same under the new CBA then the one existing right now but those four players are Colt Keith who already has a signed contract that would be greater than what he received in arbitration because he’s kind of a platoonie backup player can’t play defense and apparently can’t hit either hence the 250 batting average and 10 home runs while being played mostly against his advantaged platoon.
The other three guys are Dingler Jobe and Montero, are all going to fall well short of the 130 service days in their third year for that partial year account as a full year and hence get them the extra arbitration year. The number of service days can still change it’s projected now to be 134 but it may come back a little bit but regardless none of those guys are even close they’re not within 40 days of service time of what the number is going to end up to be.
Normal arbitration will be available to guys who are in their fourth fifth sixth years of control, again assuming the same setup with the CBA.
Those players (estimated arb salary) are Torkelson(7.9m) Greene(8.9m) McKinstry(4.2)Vierling(3.2m) Holton(3.5m) Brieske(1m) Vest(3.9m)Carp(4.2m) Olson(900k) Perez(900k)
