I hope Casey has his stuff figured out tonight.
Whatever. He’s ■■■■■■■ safe.
Half asleep but the Tigers are wide awake
Like i said before… baseball, long season. Hell long games that you never know what may happen but one guarantee is that nothing that happens in the 4th game of a 162 game season should be extrapolated out as the expectations for the season.
The other Diamondbacks pitchers to throw an immaculate inning were Randy Johnson (2001), Byung-Hyun Kim (2002) and Wade Miley (2012). Tigers nearly came back on this one. Once Soroka sat down they seemed to find the ball again.
Brandon Pfaadt is literally like playing against a pitching machine. If we can’t win this game tonight…that’s just sad.
I’m pissed that we’re .500 but we started last year 2-4 and then were the first team to 20, 30, 40, 50, and 60 wins if I recall.
Keith has started well this season, contrary to his normal start to seasons.
Then we have Skubal going tomorrow night. I still like our chances to win this series.
He looks bigger to me this year and stronger. His build looks more like Dingler.
I just hate how we’re already striking out like crazy and it’s only the 4th game of the season.
I want to do this:

But this time, my brain tells me not to do that, because our sample size is still very very small.
The good news is we should have Troy Melton available at some point if JV keeps being this bad.
They might want to consider moving Carp down in the order for a while. Having a leadoff guy with one hit on the season isn’t great.
Yep, not sure how much longer this Carp hitting leadoff experiment should go on for…but probably not much longer
"*Edited for - looking at the stats and Carp has 10 k’s in 16 AB’s….ooof, may as well just put Meadows back in at leadoff ![]()
Did you guys see this? Might be something the Tigers do with McGonigle.
Imagine getting 95 million fully guaranteed without ever playing a MLB game. He better be awesome.
I really hope so. Get him locked up long term immediately.
Bobby Witt / Julio Rodriguez type deal.
I would never copy the mariners… just saying
So you don’t wanna lock up McGonigle long term?
Didnt say that… just clearly communicating that i dont want to follow the mariners as an example of what to do. Considering how mcconigle is playing so far in the bigs i would.
Listen i have lived in washington state my whole life and have listened to moronic mariners fans say “this is the year” every year. They are the Lions of MLB and I think we can model ourselves after a better run organization. That was my point, take a shot at Seattle because they exhaust me, not that we shouldnt sign our young stud that is producing in the bigs already.
I mean I’m very glad Springer hit the home run late in game 7. But the Mariners were really ■■■■■■■ good last year. Inches away from the world series.
