It’s the same team as last year plus McConigle and a starting pitcher. Unfortunately, not enough to really contend.
I don’t mean this to be disrespectful Sir but that does not make any sense at all. We were a pube hair away from the alcs last year and added a very good bat and a number 1 type pitcher. We are contenders. As much as anybody can be when the Dodgers are out there spending trillions of dollars.
He doesn’t look comfortable at the plate. He normally has a very smooth swing and so far this year it looks like he is hacking at the ball. Moving him down in the lineup might take some pressure off him. I know first hand that when you struggle like he is it starts to mess with your head. You start thinking too much at the plate instead of just trying to make good contact.
Also I really would like our leadoff hitter to have great command of the strike zone. A guy with a good batting eye who gets deep in counts and takes walks. I also like him to be very fast. Does that sound like anybody who is currently on our roster?
Well, that adjustment by opposing pitchers didn’t take long. Now, how fast can KM adjust.

BlackJack and Verlander are washed…just cut them.. Casey just needs to be average- Montero needs to be not awful- Melton would help out tremendously. I like the pen except for AJ’s love of the scrubs (dejesus/hanifee)… Vest-Finnegan-Huerter -Holton- Seabass- KJ are solid
