Baseball has a bunch of weird rules…that needs to be a rule.
If the play made to get a runner out is feasibly created due to the presence of an umpire in the “playing area” inhibiting the game movement of the runner, the play should reset to the last base the runner reached safely.

To me that’s a rule that should go into effect yesterday.
I’m really starting to wonder how many different kind of ways that we can lose games. We have all these injuries and we are trying to claw out wins and then crap like that happens.

And if the runner did not reach a base safely on the play before being significantly impeded by the umpire, he should be awarded the next base safely.
That would just make too much sense.
I make a lot of “too much sense” to get anything done.
