Anderson primarily plays 2nd but played SS in college. I’m not sure how much of a defensive liability he would need to be to take his hitting over Zach Short. Or move Workman to DH and put Anderson at 2nd. If the season starts getting away from us early, we need to see what some of these guys can do. Regrettably it appears that the Tigers plan for Anderson may be as trade bait, it they are still buyers.
We’re going to get swept by the 2026 Mets.

Look at it this way, the Tigers are as of now best at being the worst team in 2026 baseball…not…too…bad…
He has a very weak arm. Worse than Keith. I don’t think he could make the throws from deep in the hole at SS.
Its probably gonna have to be 2nd or 3rd. Preferably 2nd.

Really? I know we suck but I’m enjoying watching the young guys play. I’d rather be winning but it at least is watchable for me.
If I’m being honest I will always watch the Tigers whether they are winning or not. I just love the Tigers.

And in the majority of these games, like this one, they’re just getting killed. They’re not even close.

2 years ago we sucked all year, went on a historic bender, and made the playoffs. That felt really good.
Last year we rocked, had a historical collapse, and still made the playoffs but that didn’t feel too good.
Maybe this year will be another 2024. Deja vu all over again. It’s unlikely I know but one can hope.
Hard to win when the pitching staff is in shambles. My Jays have the same problem with 6 starting pitchers on the injured list. They play each other next. haha someone has to win right. Maybe one of us can pitch a few innings.

For all of the crap luck with injuries, and a slow start on defense…
the Tigers are still only 4.5 games out of 1st place!
And it is middle of May.
Team still has over 70% of the season left to get healthy and start playing better.
Getting Mize, Vest, Melton, and Skubal back will make a huge difference.
