I don’t think I have ever seen a guy with a better swing than McGonigle. At least not any active players. I was watching highlights of the Tigers world series in 1984 a couple weeks ago. The Padres had a guy named Tony Gwynn who had a swing that looks very much like McG’s
Gwynn was definitely one of the best hitters I saw when I was a kid.

Yeah, huge game a couple days ago. 5 hits. I think he’s one of the prospects that isn’t getting enough love from the Tigers.
Greene is 2 for 2 already today. The guy looks like a completely different hitter than last years version.
Hopefully at least some of the power comes back when it warms up.
