Enns starts tomorrow.
But at this point after Enns and Gipson Long on the DL, not really sure. Olson, in my mind is ready, yet, I think Hinch may be waiting to after the AS break to bring him back.
I heard the post game interview with Hinch after game one and his interview earlier this week on Sirius and seems like they are really cautious with the guys.
Hinch brought up the the weather, all the high heat games they’ve been in as of late, the rain delays and how they are really being cautious with the players.
I think that is why you are seeing more Rogers and others getting playing time to the dismay of some, they are trying to keep the players in strong playing shape as they go through that.
− Reese Olson’s next start will be in the major leagues, and likely this weekend in Cleveland, Detroit Tigers manager, A.J. Hinch said Wednesday, July 2, ahead of the team’s doubleheader with the Nationals.
“His next outing is going to be in the big leagues,” Hinch said. “Unlikely to be here in Washington. He’s doing fine, just kind of waiting to be activated.”
Olson hurt his finger in mid-May and was put on the injured list with inflammation. The right-handed pitcher threw 74 pitches in four innings on June 25, for Triple-A Toledo his third rehab start.
Agreed.
Coming into the season Flaherty was slotted as the #2 SP on the staff, at the halfway point he is the #4.
