To be fair… Flaherty was never going to being the kind of prospects that Skubal would….
and… Thayron Liranzo was the higher rated prospect in that deal.
Time will tell if Liranzo pans out at the MLB level.
Liranzo straight up forgot how to hit since becoming a Sea Wolf.
.206/.315/.390 over 470 PA. Still takes a walk but profiling as a backup C ( which we need).
Odds are Valencia has the nod next year over him as Rogers replacememt.
Briceño now hurt again seems a year+ out and a 3rd C and more of a DH/1B.

I just saw that Tigers have three guys in the top 10! Of worst WAR in the league…Perez 3rd, dreamy eyed Zachy Mick #4, and stick a Tork in him at #9…but gotta say, top 10 aint…too…baaad. There’s just no way some of the guys in Toledo could be better than those WARs…just…nooo…wayyy….
I wonder if Harris is still losing sleep at night trying to figure out why this team isnt a top 5 offense… does somebody want to tell him? He seems a bit slow on the uptake

I wasn’t overly critical of AJ Hinch last year, but one of my bigger frustrations was his refusal to give Melton a chance to crack the rotation… while he had Chris Paddack and Old Charlie Morton trotting out to the bump as the season slid off a steep cliff.
But…. ERAs over 6.00 from a starting pitcher… are… not… too… bad!!!

Ohh Keith playing 1st…be a “bold” strategy if Hinch let’s him play the whole game amirght?
Watch Keith get on base 2-3 times early… and then AJ will pinch hit Tork for him when a Lefty reliever gets the ball.
