Our division is complete dogshit and Skubal should be back in August. It’s not like he’s out for the season.
We are still making the playoffs and we are still winning the World Series. Don’t get it twisted.

This is exactly why I never spend high draft picks on pitchers in fantasy baseball. The great ones all throw 100+ mph and they always seem to blow their arms out. Skenes will be next.

If we literally stay at .500 through July, we will make the playoffs. I don’t doubt that we might go on a bit of a run even without Skubal. Framber was an ace in Houston for a reason.
We do need to get Mize back ASAP, and maybe we could even trade for a starter like Luis Gil or something.

The issue is he won’t throw a baseball for 2 months. it’ll be like starting spring training all over again. Hard to predict when he’s back. And will need a lengthy rehab stint to knock off rust.. I doubt we see him again until mid August. That’s 3 full months or so. Him and his agent are not going to want to be rushed back with free agency coming. He needs to be 100 percent right to pitch. Otherwise if he has a setback, he loses hundreds of millions
I feel bad for the guy. Hopefully he had a good insurance policy on that arm
