I’m actually really not worried about this game or about our record right now so long as we hang around .500. What I want to continue to see is the improved overall approach at the plate and to see the offense continue to perform like they are.
But, what CANNOT continue to happen is to have games where we keep giving up 7+ runs and blow 5+ run leads and such. That’s just bad baseball.
Again, I’m not worried about this team at all right now. It is VERY early.
I feel bad bc I thought he was just playing off the fact he slipped and was embarrassed.
I’d like to add onto this by saying this team is pretty clearly better than it’s record. The bullpen has been abnormally bad (even for them) to start the season. That’ll correct itself in due time.

Bottom line is this team needs to figure out what we do with Flaherty. The guy can’t be trusted—whether that from game to game or inning to inning. Mize, Montero, Skubal and Valdez. Need to find a fifth for replacement Flaherty. You can’t trust the guy—he’s a head case with his delivery.
Yep, if Flaherty keeps looking like this over say the next 5-6 starts, he’s cooked.
